Severe Storms Tonight, Hot/Humid Tuesday, Then Pleasant by Midweek

Image
06/24/24 Southeastern Wisconsin Weather Outlook The weather pattern we have been in as of late has been relentless. The entire Upper Midwest has seen continuous rainstorms, severe thunderstorm outbreaks, and as of the last week, heat and humidity. We do have a few days coming up where we will have a break here across southeastern Wisconsin, but it doesn't look like it will last long.    Currently, there is a warm front making its way across Wisconsin, with no precipitation associated with it, but some mid level and low level clouds. The skies are expected to remain mostly sunny to partly cloudy the remainder of today and into the first half of tonight. High temperatures are expected to top out around 80ºF across much of southeastern Wisconsin before the lake breeze passes through and cools us down. Dew points should remain relatively capped as will at least until the warm front passes through and we see a more southerly shift in the winds.  Tonight there is a lot of uncertainty re

06/21/24 Southeastern Wisconsin Weather Outlook Aidan Cera Good morning southeastern Wisconsin. I apologize for not making many posts this week, schedule has been fairly busy with preparing to move back up to Minnesota here shortly.  As the title says, a Flood Watch has been issued by the National Weather Service office of Milwaukee for portions of southeastern Wisconsin. The counties in this watch include Waukesha, Washington, Fond Du Lac, Dodge and Jefferson Counties. This watch runs until tomorrow, Saturday June 22nd 7:00 PM CDT. Keeping an close eye on the weather the next 24-36 hrs will be important if you plan on traveling or have any outdoor plans. Excessive rainfall will certainly be possible during this time window, and if any flooding near rivers is likely or may happen, exercise caution around these areas in case flooding does indeed occur. Keep tabs on the National Weather Service of Milwaukee and the information they put out via their website, X(formerly Twitter), as wel

Florida Weather Arrives

06/15/24 Southeastern Wisconsin Weather Outlook Aidan Cera It has been a pleasant weekend so far across southeastern Wisconsin with a good deal of sunshine and highs topping out in the mid 70ºF's across most of the area. Dew points have also been pleasant with dew point temperatures in the mid 50ºF's. Clouds increased earlier today thanks to an approaching weather system off to our west. These pleasant temperatures are about to come to an abrupt end, with plenty of heat and humidity lasting through most of next week.   A few showers may make it into southeastern Wisconsin as we continue through the evening hours, but overall I think most of the area will remain dry thanks to lower dew points. There will be a good deal of clouds around tonight due to our proximity to the low pressure passing by, and therefore our temperatures will not drop that dramatically. Lows are expected to be in the low to mid 60ºF's with a S wind of about 10 mph or so.   Late tonight into tomorrow mo

Summer Like Weather Begins to Dominate

06/12/2024 Southeastern Wisconsin Weather Outlook Aidan Cera     It has been a much warmer day across southeastern Wisconsin today. Temperatures have climbed well into the 80ºF's and even have reached 90ºF in some locations despite increasing high level cloud cover as the afternoon has gone on. Dew points really haven't crept up much yet as expected across our area, but much more humid air is lurking just off to our west, so it is only a matter of time before we start seeing those 60ºF's dews across our area.      Our sunshine from earlier today has been masked by a good deal of cirrus cloud activity associated with a complex of thunderstorms that developed across western Minnesota earlier this morning and has been progressing southeastward throughout the day. These storms are currently passing into western Wisconsin, with some of these storms being severe warned for damaging winds.        There is considerable uncertainty in whether or not this complex of storms will reac
